Hey fellas, im really interested in buying an RK lip kit for my 07 camry and before i do, i hope whoever has the RK lip kit on their ride could give me some words of wisdom and also help me with a few of my questions
- Was installation similar to that of installing a SE lip kit? eg, cutting slits in the bumper (LE model), filler panels etc etc
- If keeping stock height, how much lower will the ride be just by adding the lip kit and how does this compare to the SE lip kit on sportivo models (interested in adding SE rear bumper lip, but want a RK front, side skirts and boot lip. main reason why is because my car only has on exhaust on the right hand side
- Any reliable dealers that will ship this kit to australia that you can recommend.
rksport lip kit does not require cutting of the spoiler. it pretty much bolts/sticks over the current bumper. redline will probably chime in with the exact spots of mounting but i know it's pretty simple and does not require drilling or cutting.
i wouldn't recommend se rear as it will look out of place with the rest imho. just get rksport rear and get the dummy tip on the left side or just ignore the opening. peachy has the opening and you forget about it after a while.
if you want you can contact rksport directly(or peachy can give you contact info) and they will ship to australia directly.
No slit-cutting necessary. Just get a roll of strong double-sided tape and a couple self-tapping screws and you're set on the front and rear valences.. for the sideskirts, you have to take off the existing skirts and use a handful of self-tapping screws and reuse the left and right existing screws in the fenderwell. You dont reuse the nylon clips.
Your front and sides will lower maybe 1" to 1.5"? But the rear stays pretty much the same.
Get the full kit as it is, dont mix and match. I also have just one muffler and contemplated getting duals but like pawel said, you really do forget that there's an opening there because the design of the rear blends in with it.
I painted and installed mine myself. If you have any other questions, just ask.

That's just about everything. Everything fit's pretty nicely, and the side skirts are the hardest part to install. The back you don't have to worry about, you can't really notice it. You really have to make 100% sure that when you get it painted, they put a lot of flex in the paint, because the material used is kinda like rubber, it won't break on anything but it does bend a lot. So you have to be careful moving it around after you get it painted.
Sweet thanks for all that advice, fellas it now seems easier to install than i last thought. My only issue that i can think of now is shipping. got quoted at carsosn toyota for the RK lip kit delivered to melbourne ports at 400US which is the best ive gotten so far
Yeah sorry i didnt make it clear, it was $400 just for shipping via ocean liner to melbourne ports where i guess i have to pick it up myself. I thought, because im going through a toyota dealer that it would cost me a arm and a leg. I will contact RK sometime this weekend and see what they can do for me.
As for the spare hole in the rear lip, i was thinking of getting a dual exhaust but i will lose RPM in the lower ranges. So ill probably keep it blank for a while until i turbo this baby of mine
