Struts replacements covered under warranty?

Hi All,

I have a 2009 toyota camry and just completed the 15K mile service on it. Now the struts need to be replaced which was not picked up in the 15K service. I am pretty sure the warranty will cover the replacement but wanted to get some additional thoughts?

I would guess that you have no clue that they need to be replaced but you'll find out when you go to the dealer.....

Of course they will be replaced under warranty if bad.

How do you know that the struts need to be replaced? Are they leaking fluid? If so, the replacement will be covered by the warranty. If you think they are just too soft, then you are in a grey area.

leaking fluid is probably the best way to find if your struts are blown. But the dealership can easily say that it was your fault.

ToyotaCamryDriverGA,

Be prepared to have issues with this as the dealership will undoubtably tell you that this is not covered under your warranty as it will either fall into the "normal wear and tear" or "maintenance expense" category. They'll also tell you that this summer when you take it in because the a/c smells bad so they can try to hook you for the 200 dollar chemical wash or whatever it was that I didn't get. :-)
