Fluid on bellows/boots of power steering linkage
I took my camry into the dealership with still being under my platinum warranty.I had light fluid on the outside of the bellows/boots towards the inner/bigger part of the boot, Dealer pushed the outer boot in and squeezed the boot and said it had no fluid in it and they had to have a bigger leak to fix it? Now mind you this is with a platinum warranty.I said is it supposed to leak at all they said technically no.I then told them this means it is not working as purchased and that is why I have a warranty. Needless to say they cleaned it and didnt charge me to inspect it. We are in a watching it mode.thank goodness i have 1 1/2 years left on my warranty. Does anyone have any ideas or insight into this? Maybe a toyota tech out there?
