10K miles is probably a bit low, but it also depends on the type of driving and roads. Most people seem to wear out their Bridgestones around 20K miles.
A quick check on TireRack.com shows that the EL400 is one of the worst tires you can buy (ranked 22 out of 26 in category). Only 2.1/10 would buy again. I personally don't care for Bridgestone/Firestone. IMO they're junk.
Turanza EL400:

It's also possible that the tires were warrantied only 1yr/12K miles.
For typical driving I'd go with
Michelin Primacy MXV4 from Costco.
You'll get 60K mile tread wear warranty. Ranked 1st in category on TireRack. Great road hazard warranty, free rotation and balance. $70 off 4 tires now.
Go with winners. Go with Michelin.

My wife has driven her 2007 Camry XLE (bought new) for just over 10,000 miles and all four of the Bridgestone Turanza EL400 tires appear to be excessively worn. I am OCD about my cars and these tires have been religiously rotated regularly and inflations checked monthly; no signs of pulling or vibration in steering; front end aligned once since purchase. My question is this: Where to go for an adjustment ... the dealer or the local Firestone or other Bridgestone dealer? If they agree to a pro-rated deal, must one replace with exactly the same tire or can you upgrade to another model/brand/etc? Has anyone had a similar experience? Are they likely to pro-rate?
Thanks!
