USA Graco Rear Facing Car Seat/Infant Carrier in '07 Camry

Hi all, I have a 2007 Camry LE. When I got it brand new my daughter was three years old and in a front facing car seat, so this wasn't an issue. Well, now we're having another baby in a few weeks and I've had lots of problems installing the rear facing infant carrier/car seat. It's just a basic Graco SnugRide car seat, but no matter how I position it, I cannot seem to get it to fit in the back seat without having to move the front driver or passenger seat all the way forward. I'm quite petite, so my seat is not very far back to begin with and it still will not fit. Have any of you had this problem, or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

put it on the other side not the driver side. just move the passenger seat forward and put all your things or your bags on the front passenger seat. and for your 3 year old put her car seat in the middle. just tell your wife to seat at your back all the time. been doing this for almost 3 years now and my wife still sits at the back. lol

I would think you should have no problem with a rear-facing seat. The Camry is very spacious in the back, bigger than most mid-size cars. Check carseatdata.org. I just did, and I just read about someone who's son is now up to 29 inches and needs a convertible seat. The seat this person's son is using now is a Graco SnugRide, and this is in a 2007 Camry, so I'm not sure why you are having problems?? Best wishes!

I have a snugride rear facing on the passenger side for my 1 year old and my 3 year old's carseat is on the drivers side. It'll fit but you will need to move the front passenger seat forward quite a bit, I think I have the rear passenger side seat reclined as well.
