Michelin Primacy MXV4 Help

Hey guys i recently checked my tire air pressure and it was at 35psi, is that fine? I have Michelin Primacy MXV4 215/50R17 on my car. Specs says max of 50psi and i searched around on google and people would run them as high as 40psi. would 40psi be recommended over 35psi? tires where measured when cold.

I don't have these tires on my Camry that I just got, but I had them on my old car. I always ran them at 38-40 psi since I liked the way they road at the higher psi and I had really, really good tire wear at that higher pressure as well. I intend to put these on my Camry when I replace the tires and will run them around 40 again.

Good luck,
Kg

It's all a matter of preference. Some prefer the factory recommended soft 29-30 PSI on some cars but I keep my cars at 34 PSI. Good balance of comfort and handling.

why not follow the recommended psi?

also remember can can unevenly wear your tires if the psi is too high ...

i called Michelin and they recommended 33psi, i have them at 35 cold. i drove on them at 40psi and the ride was a bit rough, so i went to 35, max psi on the tire was 50psi. the recommended tire pressure 29-30psi a standard for all tires no matter how big or small?

Recommended PSI is 35 on my 07 Sienna and 32 on my 08 Camry. I run the Sienna at 35-37 and the Camry at 35.

The factory recommended PSI is geared for a soft ride. I've always run my tires at 34 PSI and there have been no problems. All of my friends do the same on my recommendation with no problems either. It's really just a matter of personal preference as long as you're not being dumb and running it at 45 or 50 PSI.

i found 32 is a good psi. did you notice that the newest version of that tire has better tread characteristics but a shorter life span.?
