5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
this may sound very noobish.. which i am a noob. first time owning a toyota for that matter.
anyway, on my 2010 camry le, the factory alarm when i push unlock, it only unlocks the driver side. then when i push unlock again, it doesn't unlock all the door. on my civic, it does do that, so i'm just wondering is that normal on the camry?
also, i just found out last night that there's only 1 key hole in the whole camry.. the driver side. that's just weird.

Different cars, different design.
The unlocking and locking of doors is normal. If you want to unlock all doors at the same time, you have to press the button twice. I dont mean, press it once and than wait 2 seconds and press again. Once you press it once, press it again.
Your car may have a customizable option that the dealer can do for you. He can reprogram the ECU to unlock all doors with one press if that's what you'd prefer. Had it done on my Avalon for free. There's several other nice options as well. Your owner's manual, when you get it, should list them.
I know for sure that there's something about interior lights and the horn, but I don't have the manual here to look at right now. If someone has a manual handy maybe they can find that for you. I can look tomorrow.
