The 2007-2009 I4 is 5-spped. Right?

yes 07-09 i4 have 5speed n I4 2010 are 6 speed

The clutch is smooth, better than the 2007 (not that the 2007 is bad).

The six manual and 2.5 engine sure seems right, for me. However, I once bought a Toyota without a test drive, making assumptions about what I thought I knew. Error on my part which I had to live with for six years. Oops.

"Reworking" it would be a bit more difficult, because the 6 speed has a collar on the shifter that you pull up in order to get over into reverse.
