Flexible LED lighting for 08 camry headlight....good..bad?....
Hey guys, this is my first ever post so don't rag on me too much. I occasionally come on this site (~every 2 weeks) just to see whats new and anything exciting anyone does with their car. However, I haven't seen LED flexible strips to the bottom of the headlights. I know, I know. I can hear some people saying "its a Camry, not an A6 or R8 ." But that is exactly it, I can't afford those cars and since I like that aspect of those car (the lighting), why not make it an addition to a car I already have at a minimal cost . Anyway, enough with the blahblahing, here are some photos. Also, by the by, sorry for the crappy pics, it was late @ night and yeah, I'll try for some day time pictures tomorrow if you guys want. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Take it easy.
just so you can see that the LED strips are not super obvious/visible
i like it if its done right. the strips are not the way to go because the leds are too close together and from a distance it looks like 1 line of light. the audis u can clearly see how many leds there are etc.. because they have a big space inbetween each led. if i were to do it i would do it true audio style and make it spaced far apart. i keep thinking about some custom leds in my car but see no way to do it so that its unique and not ricey/trying to copy the audis.
Welcome to TN and looks great, not my style, but it looks good, and yes like you said, its not visible and it looks like you took some time into it.. GREAT JOB. Now, what else is going on?

Want: Coils, wheels, LED tails
If the LED's were larger and had their own reflective housing per LED it'd be much more visible and brighter. these look alright for night ops but i have yet to see someone successfully do a LED mod like the Audi
Plz post day pics asap tho

Hey guys, thanks for the comments and general statements. The LEDs are actually on the exterior of the car, they are not inside the headlight housing (I didn't want to deal with taking the headlights apart and using an oven n shit). They are in the crevice between the headlight and the bumper underneath it (they are orange-ish in the pictures). In regards to how I connected them, I actually used the free terminal that used to plug into my right headlight bulb. Let me explain, since I used generic HIDs, only one headlight connector was required to connect to the HIDs (I used my left headlight lead), therefore one was just lying around in the engine bay (the right). I connected my LED flex strip to this spare headlight terminal so they light up with the headlights (not parking lights). And Proliphik, I agree with you wholeheartedly..these LEDs are far from perfect. Individual housing would increase the luminescence dramatically. I hope I addressed all questions and concerns. I hope the pictures were what you guys wanted.
the arrows indicate where the LED strip is placed.
Very nice. I'm interested to see picture of how you connected if possible. Its barely noticeable during the day (you had car inside garage with shade).
Please post pics of night time shot from far away.
Again, great job. Where did you get the LED from and how much did it cost you?
