New to the board

Hi everyone, I just got myself a 2010 Camry V6 SE Black. Manufacturing date Dec '09.

I acutally have been viewing various threads on this board for years and now have decided to introduce myself and join the club.

My primary car before this purchase was a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S 6 speed manual where I have had for the longest time. It was time to get something larger and to keep the celi for the summers.

Within my family we own an '03 Camry SE and '97 Camry LE. Looks quite funny infront of the house with 4 Toyota's parked there.

Kind of ironic that I knew about the pedal issues for the past while and still chose to get the Camry. I was very hesitant to purchase the 2010 as all my other vehicles Celi and '03 Camry were all built in Japan with superior quality.

I almost chose to get a base Lexus IS250 manual because it was made in Japan but just did not have enough power .

Thanks to Pedron's post I just checked and I have the Denso gas pedal and not the recalled one.

As much as I like Toyota there were a bunch of things I have noticed with the car so far:

1) There seems to be a clunk sound upon every startup driving about 10-20m of distance (I was told it was an ABS check), is it quite noticable the sound?

2)I have a fly/buzzing sound coming somewhere by my front left dash

3)the rear seat belts make a whistling sound when moved in/out ... sounds as if it is someones nose is whistling

4) Squeeky brakes at morning startups

5)Ticking valves, currently the temperature is -10C

6)Worst thing so far - Loud scraping/friction startup in the cold weather after the car sat for a few hours. Almost like something rubbing ... Fan belt? Starter? Cylinders(doubt it).
