SRS Airbag question

Hi, I have an 05 5th Gen Camry and am going to an audio upgrade. THis will require taking out the driver side seat to install an amplifier. I'm worried that in doing so i may accidentally disable the SRS airbag system if i pull the seat sensor plugs out. I would do this while the battery was disconnected but i would then have to power it on without the seat reinstalled to tune the amp as i wont be able to get to the controls with the seat back on. Is it safe to just reconnect the seat sensor plugs without disabling the system?

Cheers
Toby

Any time I have done anything like this, I disconnected the battery.

You will be fine with unplugging the seat. Just don't gorilla man handle it and you will be fine. It will also be okay if you had to connect the battery without the seat plugged in. Just disconnect the battery again, before plugging the seat back in.
