Has anyone tried to max out there ecu on camry se. How much increase can i see in wheel horse power?

The proper question you should be asking is 'Has anyone tried to hack the ECU' and the answer should be 'No'

Speaking of hacking the ECU ive heard things about tunning the ecu aswell..can this be done on our camrys to increase HP?

you cant really hack into the factory ecu, but you can buy a piggy-back ecu and route it to your oem ecu, your prob not going to get much more hp unless you put some mod's into it

Yeah im planning to mod my ride a fair bit. Planning on a intake and gonna do exhaust upgrades so far but apart from that is there anything else i need to do?

if your going for the n/a route, it will be expensive to squeeze out more hp but the norm is intake-header-exhaust and you can re-map the air-fuel ratio to get some extra oomph and also you can have multiple maps for different octane gas, tho the best bang-for-the-buck option is to go turbo.

but anyways you should check out the scion forums and see what those guys are doing, tC's have the same engines as our 4cyl's (2007-2009)
