5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i need advice before i waste my money. i was thinking about buying kyb gr2 shocks and eibach springs which drops my car 1.6 all around.
but after seeing kenny's car how sick it looks slammed, i was thinking on gettiing coils. i love how the ride feels on the 2010 se models( my mom has one =( ) and i want a ride like that maybe a lil stiffer but i want a nice ride.
i dont know if i should go to coils or shocks and springs.
If you want comfort with a nice drop go with springs, coils are harsh especially the Ksports. I did not care for comfort, i had my mind set on performance so therefore i got coils. If you can ask a form member that has coils, ask for a ride in their car and see how you like it. IMO its up to you if you can handle the ride.

there is no such thing. any coils that you find for the gen5 is going to give a pretty stiff ride if you want to slam. there was a member here with a soft ride on BC's(gellenole) but he had his car at like stock height and there were set like all the way soft.
to drop like kenny, you have to have your coils set super stiff so you don't rub, and that is going to equate to a rough ride on megans, ksport, d2, and likely BCs.
there haven't really been that many. You already know what they will look like, they look like a normal gen5, just a lot lower. you can always adjust them to your liking. it really just depends on what you are going for and what you want to spend your money on.
here is man's cam, from way back in the day.(ksports here, he is on one-off tein now) (i hope you guys don't care if i post your pics, they're online anyway.)
