5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Tints range from $175-250. It all depends on brand and quality of tints. Also need to know the quality of their craftsmanship that they do which may also factor into the price. Tints is not something you should skimp on. What you pay is what you get. You wouldnt want to spend X amount on tints and than have the tints end up bubbling or fading and than you have to pay again to have new tints added.
3M, Lumar and SolarGard are known tint brands. My SolarGards were $220. My sisters 3M for her Matrix was $190
damn thats expensive tint jobs. Theres a place in Rosemead called California Tint that does it for 125. My pops has been going here for all of our cars and the tint is beautiful. I forget which tint they use, but they offer a lifetime warranty so any problem can be fixed.

Manufacturers make different tint for different price points. There is more than just the brand. While 3M and Lumar are well known and do back their products with a warranty of some sort, the lower lines come with warranty for a few years or maybe only against delamination. The higher cost ones will be warranted for a longer period and against discoloration also.
Comparing brand only is pointless without this consideratin.
how about Suntek? there's place in fremont that is offering the tint for $300 using the Suntek Charcoal something. I'd prefer to use 3M if possible.. cuz never heard of Suntek before..

I'd be interested as well -- I am definitely getting a tint as summer gets closer. I haven't gotten quotes, and haven't gotten windows tinted in about a decade. Last time I tinted it was $120 for two side windows and a large hatchback rear window. It didn't fade, but it did bubble a bit and start to pull away after about four years.
i did.. but unfortunately.. they drive toyotas as well and it's been over 10 yrs old.. so the place they've gotten it from has either went out of biz or they can't remember where they went.
Never heard of Suntek... but for $300 you can probably get your car done with Formula ONE Pinnacle which is a fully ceramic tint that doesn't interfere with GPS or radio signals.
