Gen6 2008 Camry LE - should I buy?

I am looking at this Camry that I am looking to buy. Not sure about it after all the messed up recalls with the Camry. I lost count as to how many recalls for this car.

I took it to CarMax to do an inspection, they said save the $$ and wait till the recall is all done and sent me packing.
That being said, I think I can get a pretty good deal on the car.

2008 LE Camry - 50,500 miles mostly highway miles.
They are asking: $13,500 (which is high).
KBB good condition: $11,935

It was a fleet lease car, and the person bought it up and used it for himself. I inspected it with a friend after the CarMax visit, it looks like it was never involved in any accident by looking at the bolts/body panels. The fluids looks good.

I have not done the CarFax but they said it is clean with no accidents.

So should I get it?
If so, should I low ball them as the guys at CarMax said that Camry are sitting on their lot as nobody is buying it.

TIA

Thumbs up

IMO with all the recall nonsense that has been going on recently. Now would be a perfect time to gain leverage when negotiatinga price for a used Camry. With the price KBB is saying, I think you could probably talk the dealership down atleast $500-1000.

i think you could lower the price a fair amount. It being 13500 with 50k miles is pretty pricey. I got my 09 le new for 17k without tax.

damn, KBB is only 11.9K for a barely 2 year old camry?

I thought I got a steal when I paid 15K for my gen 5 camry at the end of 2005 and it was well over 2 yrs old. It had under 12K miles on it though. The camry's must be starting to depreciate a lot faster. (not surprisingly)
