Gen6 Problem with DDM Tuning HID Kit

Ordered and recieved a HID kit from DDM tuning. Installed them and only one headlight will turn on. Did some searching, and bought a relay harness hoping it would fix the problem. Installed that and the same problem continues. Only one headlight will turn on.

Everything is installed correctly, I have checked 10+ times just to make sure. I have switched the bulbs and ballast and no matter what I do, only one headlight will turn on.

I am quite confused. Anyone have any ideas?

Ive done a lot of searching on the internet and the only other possible solution would be for me to to disable the DRL(Daytime Running Lights). After searching I have seen that the only way to do this is to take it to the dealership and have them do it. I have a feeling my toyota dealer will not do it.

Any help is appericated, thanks.

First, your dealer will do it. It is a customizable option that is available to you.

Second, if one bulb is working and the other is not, it is not a DRL problem. I know you said you checked your wiring 10+ times, check one more.

Make sure that the pos and neg hookup's on your non working bulb are connected properly to the balast. Switch the two wires around if you need to. Something on that particular side isn't hooked up properly.

just out of curiosity which kit did you purchase. They have the budget raptor kit for like 30 and then theres the the fully digital for $50.

also try swapping out bulbs from left to right maybe its a bad bulb.

yea I don't think the DRL's have anything to do with it like what ebumdude said. It's probably something with the wiring.

did you switch your ballast\bulb with the other side? see if it could be defective bulb\ballast?

i got 2007 camry and HID kit installed.you don't have to disable DRL, not with harness.
check battery,maybe it dieing.
if you sure that both ballasts and bulbs are good, the only problem could be the harness itself. make sure ground is good and you got power on both connectors.
if so,but still, only one side works, replace wire from relay to right light (my guess, right not working) with higher AWG. do the same with wire from battery to relay.
harness wires probably 16 AWG,replace it with 12.
my left light was starting fine, but right one, only after left warms up.i replaced wires to lower impedance,on my old kit.they worked good since that.knock-knock-knock!

Yes, I have checked the wiring again.

I have switched the ballast and the bulbs, there is always one light not working.

I have the DDM HID Slim Ballast 55watt kit.

wait just to be clear you said you switched the ballasts and the bulbs. Im talking about taking the bulb only from the non working side and putting it on the working side. Leaving the ballast where it is. You make it sound like you switched the whole setup.

Yes. I have tried switching just the bulbs, switching just the ballast, and with/without the relay harness.

My battery seems fine

So is it always the same side? You need to pinpoint what is wrong. Is it the bulbs or the ballast. Its not the relay because it happened before you even purchased it.

If its the driver side, swap the bulb. If the driver side is still not working, its not the bulb. Than swap the ballast. If the driver side is working but the passenger side isnt, than you found your problem.

If its the same side every time, check wiring cuz you might think you have it right but you're probably over looking something.

That I have not tried, everything else I have tried.

Should have a response by tomorrow. Going to call a friend and test it on his car.
