Hi newbie here with a couple Camry questions

Hi-

My girlfriend has a 03' Camry LE with a couple issues I hope you all can help me address. First her stereo is a lil' tempermental and will only play certain CD's---mainly those that were store bought. It will however play certain homegrown CD's but what's weird is that if we try to play two different CD's lets say made by Memorex it may only play one CD and not the other. So that throws out my it's limited to certain brands theory.

The 2nd issue involves her steering wheel, when she manuevers her car it sounds like a really whiney cat and it's so loud I can hear sometimes when she's in the car and we're talking on the phone.

The second one might be the power steering.

Memorex CDs are hit or miss. Some work--some don't. I had the same problem on various CD players. Never had any issues with Sony or TDK CDs.

Also just make sure you aren't making MP3 CDs, but it sounds like the brand is your issue.
