5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
How much of a discount should I expect to get on a 2010 Camry SE? I was looking for used 6th gens, but with the new 0% financing rates it is hard not to think about a new one. The car is $23,900 internet price.

You can expect to get off $1000 up to $1500. Great deal if you ask me.
you should be able to get it lower, I have a local dealer that is having a managers special of extra 2000 off already low prices and I got a quote for an LE V6 with sunroof, alloys, and bluetooth for 21,577 before tax, tags, etc. But because of the price they will not let this car get the 0% financing, but it does have 2 years/25,000 of free service (oil changes, tire rotation etc). I think that is the best I am going to find and will probably end up getting it, only wish I could get the 0% as well than it would be a steal. Hope that helps
Here's all the numbers from my purchase of a 2010 SE...
-The MSRP for the V6 was $28,737 (Sports Package)
-My trade in was $18,000 ('09 TCH 13k miles)
-At 1.9% for 60 months, the total finanace charge will be $1,791.49
-Amount financed is $34244.51
-After deals and incentives, the dealership was able to save me $4,577.44.
-Monthly payments are $600.60; I wont have to make a payment for 90 days though.
-I got a service conract for 5 year, 75,000 miles for $891 which covers damn near anything that could malfunction in the vehicle.
-Tire coverage for $301 (includes after market wheels and tires)
-$590 for total loss protection(if vehicle gets totaled, i get a new one)

I would have never published those numbers.............
NEVER use MSRP price as the base price! MSRP is an erotic dealer's dream, not more. Always use invoice price as an anchor. You can get the invoice price from carsdirect.com.

What is this OTD BS?? We have no idea what your tax, license and fees are.
.............
For the last 40 years or more I have always (new or used) (dealer or used car lot) made my offer to the seller as OTD. I figure what I feel is a fair price OTD and that is what I offer. If they accept it, fine; if they don't then I am OTD. They don't always accept it but several times they have and several times I have gotten a phone call a few days later accepting the OTD offer.
I do this because I feel that this way it doesn't give the dealer a way to add extras at the F&I table. They can manipulate their numbers any way they want in order to come out to my OTD offer.

Nothing wrong with that but don't throw MSRP, invoice price and OTD prices out to people in different states.
I know what my state TTL is, but not the other 49 states.

BEND OVER! You got railroaded by the entire sales staff plus the parts and service department! Oh, don't forget the lonely porter that drives the car to the back of the lot when your in for service. Total loss protection? My insurance company will do the same thing and I'm not paying for it twice.
