Hi TN,
I have been searching the internet and found mixed results about this topic. I would like to know if they make an OEM ipod adapter to display the ipod information on the radio and also control the ipod from the steering wheel.
I did find the ipod2car adapter that claims to do that but I'm unsure. It says you need to disconnect either the cd changer or satellite radio to plug that in. Is that hard to do? I'm not too mechanically inclined and don't want to ruin my radio.
Does anyone have this or another solution? If so, please let me know..Thanks
it says its for the nav screen i believe. best bet is to look for the part number. This one is the PA20TOY.
i believe they have a PA15TOY too. search around for the part number or you could call toyota too.

I have a 2010 Camry SE BTW
I tried two brands, USA Spec and DICE. The USA Spec did the best job but started resetting the iPod too much and the DICE burned up in less then a year.
My solution was to get a GROM USB2 for both my Gen6 Camerys. They work faster and better then trying to "drive by wire" an iPod. My wife and I both use Kingston 16 gig flash drives in ours, no iPod needed. I now have the iPod on the home stereo with a wireless remote unit by Phillips so I'm getting better use of it.
If you have the EV radio option, you have the USB port as well. This will control the iPod thru the steering wheel audio controls and display the iPod text on the radio. On my 2007 SE I had previously, I used the DICE iPod controller. Other than removing the radio to plug in, it was a fairly simple install and worked well. I think it will be going into my wife's RAV4 when her XM subscription runs out.

Sorry but what is the EV radio option? I do have the usb hub. I will have to give that a shot. If that doesn't work, I'll check out the DICE

Well I tried the usb option and it worked. My ipod appeared as an option and all the info was displayed on the radio. Only problem I have now is that I couldn't figure out how to select playlists or different folder options. There are two options, browse and list but I don't know how to select them. So I played my ipod but it just played every song in order.
In order to adjust the settings on your iPod, you use the preset buttons. While the Ipod is playing, you'll notice text above some of your preset buttons. Button 5 will turn on random. You can also hit browse, which will display "plist" on button 2, Select this and a bar should display on the radio screen with a name or names of your playlists. Use the select dial(big dial on right of radio) to change the playlists. Use button 1 with the return arrow to go back to see track/artist listing.
This is all detailed in the owners manual that I trust the dealer that sold you this vehicle provided.

Thanks, that worked like a charm. I didn't see anything in my manual on the iopd interface.
