I'm curious. Answer some questions for me if you would please

Would anyone here be interested in an emblem that would replace the Toyota symbol on your Camry with a piece of aluminum that's the same size but painted your body color? If so, what would you pay for it (realistically).

I'm thinking about having some made.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

So, you mean to give the emblem a shaved look? (like the emblem isn't even there?) Front? Rear?

Front or rear. Both generations.

It would be a flat piece of aluminum about 1 mm thick the same size as the Toyota emblem/symbol on the front and on the trunk but just flat and painted the body color.

Nay on the front
gen6/6.5 is too curved, will look awkward
Aren't gen5 emblems located on the grille itself? it'll look weird

Okay on the back...
gen6/6.5 is flat so it's okay (i've actually thought about it)
gen5, the entire trunk wall is flat so covering it with a plate will again, look weird... better to just cover the holes

It would blend right in/disappear if it was painted the same color as the car.

Just so you know, talk of group sales or anything along the lines is against forum rules. I'm not going to close it but let an admin decide.

what gen are you talking about and front or rear?

Also, to correct myself before i get flamed by gen5ers... their trunks flare outward at the corner and the area where the emblem is bumps out... still won't look clean in my standards

This isn't about group sales. I'm just getting people's opinions on having such a thing available.

Thanks for keeping the thread open.

i like where your head is at, but i think in the rear of the gen5s at least it would look weird. go for it though, prove me wrong, and i may be interested haha

Understandable. Just a FYI for everyone.

But wouldnt it be better if the part was made of plastic rather than aluminum? It would be easier to paint.
