5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Basically another facelift of the current generation? It's essentially the ASEAN market Camry and to be honest this is another step backwards. GM also has patent filings of its next Malibu and if it's a facelift too it sure is nice. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota kept the current Camry with just another facelift the Avalon and Rav4 are doing the same thing. Toyota is going down...
damn i was just gonna post this... i wouldn't doubt that they would release that here... to the average person that would be a big change.. i wouldn't mind if they did ether.. just means more parts i could switch on my current car if i ever wanted to

UPDATE: This is one of those times where we make like a point guard who just blew a pass to the open guy on a breakaway, tap our chests, and mouth, "My bad." As some of you noticed, the car pictured above is indeed the current Australian-market Toyota Aurion, itself a derivative of, yes, the Camry. Now, why would the Aurion show up in a U.S. patent filing? Perhaps the car's fascias are headed here as a cheap 'n easy facelift for the Camry. After all, it'd be a pretty significant change (for hyper-conservative Toyota, that is). It also does look better than the current Camry - in a differently-anonymous way. Also, if Toyota is going to Aurion-ize the Camry in the U.S., the least they could do is offer this while they're at it. Right? For a better look at the Aurion in living color, check out the second gallery below.
If its true that they're bringing the Aurion style, I want to see the TRD/ZR6 version! We wont see the TRD supercharger but at least give use the styling.
I don't think toyota will release an already released car as an "all new remodeled" model
don't pull it past them... why have the 2010 refresh then if they were just gonna do it again a year later?
these changes are big enough that an average buyer wouldn't know that it wasn't a totally new design. GM used to be notorious for doing that so why wouldn't Toyota especially in these tough times.
on another note i am starting to hate Toyota... my 6 month old 2010 $29k Camry is only worth $20k now... they best be extending our warranties after all this hoopla is over with or this is my last Toyota grrr
