sounds like you broke the lever. why not open it up and see if it can be fixed? i don't know the mechanism of the glove box lever, but you might have just popped a wire loose and need to put it back in place. I did this with my door handles when I removed the door panels and put them back on.

edit: oh, nm. I re-read and see that you can't even get it open.

It would help others if you posted the year of the Camry.

If its 07-10, I dont think there is any other way to open it except from that lever. If you remove the glove box, its one big unit. Than again, never really looked to see if there was another way to open it.

Take it to dealer and if there is any costs, you pay for it.

Well in my accord, mine was locked and it was somehow opened ...

Want to know how it was done? use a pry bar ! oh ya, for special effects you can shater glass and put it all around your seat and window

But, are you SURE it's not locked? because if you pulled it, it woudlve opened no ?

And the year would really help. With the 07+ i THINK the latch is on the right side of the box, just give use some more info and that will definately help more than whatever is provided now.
