hesitation on startoff

I have a problem with by 2005 camry with IMZ-FE engine. when starting off you depress the accelerator a little and nothing happens. you depress it a little more and it starts off with a jerk. it is like an old car with a bad accelerator pump.I took it back to the dealer and the service manager said' we have 3 more just like yours and we do not know what is wrong'. come back later and there may be a TB out on it. I went back 2 years later and he said yes now they could fix it that day, however i was driving another car that day,so he ran me a copy of the TB. When i got home the TB was for a3MZ-FE engine and for an automatic trans problem. my trans shifts fine. With all the problems toyota is having i am reluctant for them to mess with it and possibly cause more problems. I seem to recall a thread last year with the same problem, but it was never resolved. the car runs fine once you get moving.

My 08 Camry LE is the same to yours. When starting off, if I let the car go a bit more, then step on the gas, it will not do a jerk. However, sometimes it doesn't go, and the same issue to you.
I brought my car to fix for the recall today, and when I drove it out, the car is more responsive. I don't know if they reset the ECU. I will keep watching it.

it's the drive by wire system..rather than a wire being pulled when you depress the pedal, its now done electronically, so there is a slight lag...i'm not sure if that's the problem that you are having, but almost all camrys(post gen4) have that hesitation.
