Does anyone know 2011 Camry manufacture in the US equipped with CTS or Denso gas pedal ?
Thanks
You shouldn't even need a flashlight, you can tell right away. If it has those shiny plates it's the CTS, if it's all black it's the Denso. If you go during the daylight that is plenty enough light to see it.

If indeed the issue is caused by a bad pedal, I still don't get why Toyota isn't installing new pedals by Denso. What is up with those silly pedal shavings, and metal plates?! I refuse to have my car defaced like that...

I went to the dealer yesterday and look at the gas pedal on one of the 2011 Camry just came in. It is the CTS pedal. The sales person told me that CTS pedal has been modified with the plate insert at the factory. It has the X mark on it.
Just called Toyota direct main number and one of the customer representative told me that all 2011 Camry are equipped with the new redesign CTS pedal, not the CTS recall pedal with the metal shim in it. This is different from what the sales person told me which the 2011 has the CTS recall pedal with the metal shim fix done at the factory.
It doesn't matter who is right or wrong. It doesn't matter. Neither of the older pedals was ever bad. The pedal was used as a scapegoat as something easy and cheap to fix. Think of it as going to the doctor and being prescribed sugar pills to cure your rash. Stop scratching--no more rash.

The most recent research regarding the sticking pedal problem results in findings that the vast majority were being driven by elderly motorists. The proportion was far in excess of what might have been expected for miles driven. The logical conclusion from this is that the problem was with the user, not the machine.

Right now. Majority of our 2010 Camrys have the udated pedals. That means they already have the shim and the pedal is now shorter (shaved). Also between the CTS and Denso. CTS are mostly equipped on the LE versions, Denso's are on the SE and XLE (not 100% sure. but thats what I see)
