Brakes squeal and one more problem..

Hello Everyone,

Well i just recently joined this forum (Recently? more like yesterday) i've been browsing and this seemed cool enough to join . I bought a 2003 Toyota Camry XLE and i only have TWO problems.

1) My brakes squeal as if they were worn, i took them to my personal mechanic and he said my brakes are fine and it may be the material. But the squealing gets worse....As i brake it just makes that noise and its ANNOYING. And sure makes my car feel 100 yrs old. Could it be something else?

2) When i accelerate, i feel as if something clicks, it doesn't do it all the time which is why the dealer never got it. But has anybody had this problem? Any ideas on what it could be? I changed my air filter to a K&N, and the intake box seemed cleaned.

Oh and if anyone knows where i can get a nice intake for it let me know!

It's probably the material. You might want to have them cleaned and lubed. The brake fluid should be flushed out with new, for example, with Valvoline Synthetic or Castrol GT LMA (both are "low moisture activity"). The mechanic hopefully has an ABS actuator that can tickle and flush the secondary pressure relieving circuit. Many will tell you there is no need, but I disagree.

If you need new pads get Akebono ProAct. Or if you buy from the dealer see if the markings say something like "AK xxx-xxx FF". AK means Akebono. No NBKs for me.

Well the clicking noise pretty much has been fading.. And i hear it much less, if i hear it one more time im just taking it again to the dealer and i wont leave until its fixed.

Now i did my research and i found this intake... Anyone have any experience with this? Is it really worth it? I used to own an 04 Acura TL, and i put in an intake and it sounded really nice and i did notice a big difference in gas. Very Small performance wise. Is the installation easy? (I had to remove the bumber in the TL when i did it) any suggestions on a better intake?
