I do not know why you would bother, but just siphon it out. Then run the rest out by using it.

if you really want to drain it, just pull out the pump or the sensor at the bottom of the resevoir then put it back in when ur done.

But with that said, there is absolutely no point of draining it at all. The only thing this will accomplish is waste some perfectly good washer fluid.

I wouldn't recommend holding down the wiper button to empty it. You can ruin your pump if you run it while the resevoir is empty. You don't want to end up having to replace your pump just because you wanted drain the resevoir. Lol, just mix the fluids. It's not like the mixed fluid is going to ruin your windshield lol.

You planning to use a custom mix like 1Z Einszett Kristall Klar Windshield Washer Fluid or something similar? I'm currently waiting for mine to empty as well since its almost bug season in SoCal...

if you really want to empty your fluid the correct way remove the wheel well splash guard on the pass side and remove the 1/4in hose going to the resevoir. it will empty!

Some of them, like the one I listed, require you to empty it out. Reason being, it will cause streaking when mixed with normal fluids. I tried to go around that and discovered it was true. While the streaking lasts for about 2 seconds in the sun, its still an annoyance if I have a blurry windshield for those 2 seconds.
