HID Brightness

I installed my HIDs from v-leds.com 3 weeks ago. I had problems installing the left headlight, but I removed the orange grommet from the housing. I didn't do the same for the right. I have a slight flicker when igniting on the right. My left headlight always appears to be brighter that the right. Does removing the the orange grommet have something to do with it?

Shouldn't affect it... check to see if the bulb's seated properly, and that all the connectors are connected tightly

maybe you need to get a relay harness so it powers the hid kit directly from your battery.

to the brighter effect it probably is because at times the 2 lights overlap making the left look brighter than the right. stand in front of the right and u'll be then able to really see if 1 is brighter than the other. harness should help the flickering but shit hids sometimes do that. the only time tested and widely used(even in retro applications) aftermarket hids are the ddm tuning ones.
