Question about a price on used

I had posted my crappy experience that happened over the weekend when trying to buy a new camry and thought I would try looking again at used and found this at Chevy Dealership:

2009 Gray LE V6 with alloys, JBL, sunroof with 18,050 miles and they want 18,990

I called and spoke to the internet sales manager and told him with the 0% going on and the prices I had been quoted for new what kind of price he thought he could do and he said 17,800. I still think that is high but when looking on KBB and edmunds it is below what it is worth. This might be a stupid question because some might feel that is a good price and others will say ask for the price that is right for me, but how do i figure out what a good price is without offending/lowballing them. I know the best way to get a good price is go and talk face to face and say I am willing to buy today what can you do, but if it does not work I just need to walk out. Anyways any help will do without murdering me

^^ how does that fitz work, I have seen several posts about it and checked out the prices and they are good, but what do you do to get the car for that price, order it yourself and pick a dealer to have it shipped to?

No, you call the dealer, work a deal, drive or fly over, get someone to pick you up at the airport and take delivery of the car, at which time you drive it home. If this is too inconvenient, then you can pay a much higher price at your local dealer and enjoy the convenience of not having to travel. The travel costs on getting there will increase the overall cost of the car, but not substantially, and you can see the country on the return trip. You might have them ship the car to you but you run risks of damage in transit and there could potentially be issues with the car from the factory that would best be handled at Fitz.

oh okay, that is not bad, I can get a one way ticket to Maryland cheap (89.00) which is better than paying the higher cost at the dealer. Is that price listed set or can you deal and get it slightly lower, I mean either way it is already a good price, below invoice.

So when you bring it back home, you have to go and register it which is when you pay tax/tags? Do you also have to get the car inspected once you bring it home? I guess these questions answers will vary depending on the state. Thanks

Should be their lowest price.

You pay taxes/license in your own state. Probably the same if you need an inspection............

Check the website for models/colors/options.........
