Gen6 Radio Harness

I saw a thread sometime ago that someone mentioned a harness that piggybacks into the factory wiring so that you don't have to splice into the factory wiring. I've searched and searched for two days now but I can't find the thread. Anyone know the company that has this harness or knows the thread I'm talking about? It allows you to keep your stock HU without having to splice into the wiring when adding amps, etc. It's a 2010 SE. Thanks in advance.

If you want to add an amp to your factory head unit there are 2 ways to do it. The right way would be to get a Clean Sweep JL makes the best but most expensive and others like kicker make cheaper alternatives. The cheaper and most half ass way is to use the line input's that are included with most amplifiers which will take the rca input from your speakers, and then for the amp remote you can put a switch or something similar. My advice is to get a clean sweep you can get a lesser brand pretty cheap. I'm sure it's been covered many times here but if not call crutchfield they have great advice for free. So the short answer is there is no such thing as an adapter from factory to an amp.

Sorry. I don't think you understand what I'm asking. Maybe I wasn't clear. I don't need a cleansweep - I already have a Alpine DSP. I just remember a link being given for a harness adapter about two weeks ago while going through the threads. They do make what I'm asking. It's a harness adapter that plugs into the factory wiring and the oem radio - then has speaker wiring coming out of the top of it. My system -see my sig- is already installed and rocks harder than 1980's Motley Crue album. Just trying to find this adapter for a friend of mine, since he doesn't want to splice into the harness. Thanks for the response though. I was expecting the proverbial "Search........" from you know who.

Sorry I dont know what that is but I'm curious what would you use that for because if you use an aftermarket amp you connect the speakers to the aftermarket amp the harness you are describing would leave the factory connections between the radio and the speakers but would give you an additional output from the radio. Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question just curious.

Okay. Maybe I was reading something with a little too much wine in me. Know which harness plugs into the stock non-jbl to get speaker outputs? I'm thinking the Metra 71-1761 or 71-8113. Problem is, nothing I ever search for says it's for 2010 Camry's and from what I'm hearing on here there was a wire change from 2009-2010.
