Gen6 08 center console rattling fix opinions

For the longest time I have had this extremely annoying rattling sound that came from my center console. It was a very low rattling sound had accrued when going over bumps. It drove me crazy because it was such a small sound it was so annoying and noticeable.
So today I took apart the whole middle part of my car and found that the rattling sound came from the 12 v located in the picture below. I need to secure the 12v so that is doesn’t move around. I was thinking about using a glue gun to kind of glue the base of the 12v to the actual console. But before I do this, I wanted to get opinions. Would there be a better alternative to securing the 12v so it does not move around and rattle??
Where the red arrow is pointing to is the area that needs to be secured

I originally thought the rattling was coming from inside the gearshift.... apparently it was from the 12 v
