Gen6 SE Bumper Clips

hey guys well i accidently bottomed out on a steep driveway and scraped the bottom of the lip on the passenger side. I think i may have broken the top clip where the end of the lip connects to the passenger side front wheel well. Does anyone know if i can buy the clip and replace it? or is the clip molded into the lip? please help guys

Did you break the clip, or did it just pop off? Mine popped off once, all I needed was a wrench and I had it back on in like five minutes. If you do need a part I have always found the Parts counter at the dealership helpful, they overcharge I'm sure but the parts are only a few bucks and they can get what you need.

not the plastic clip that connects to the 2 metal pieces, but the top part where the top of the lip meets the bumper

Nothing you can do in that case, unless you find the piece and plastic weld it on

I deal with these all day long my friend. We get bumpers sometimes from plastics shop that the tabs are missing and the (blue) clip isn't there either.

I fixed a friend of mine's SE ground effects. Actually, it's the same tab your picture shows. The same thing happened to her, she hit a curb and then she noticed it was sticking out in a bad way. There was enough of the tab left to fit flush with the cut out in the bumper.

You'll want to take the bumper completely off and set it on a table. Working from the backside of the bumper, however you can, push the ground effects as close to the bumper as possible and epoxy the broken tab to the bumper. Careful not to put too much on as it will melt the bumper and make it worse off than before.

The one I did like this was just a couple of months after we started building this model and it's still holding fine. She even hit it again the same way she did before and it didn't hurt it that time.

Something to think about.....

Are you saying that the tab is intact? The clip just popped out? If that's all it is, I'd say it's sitting somewhere on your undercover. 8 screws and 5 clips, take them both off and look around up in there before you go buy another one.

It should be blue.
