Gen6 2008 Camry LE Radio lighting not working

HI,

Does anybody have any idea why the radio lighting will not work for the 2008 Camry LE. It is the standard radio off the factory, no changes or mods made to the sound system.

You power up the car, the radio blinks for once and the dashboard for the radio does not work. There is still sound coming through the speakers meaning the radio is still working but not the lighting for the LCD dash for the radio?

Is it a Fuse, or is the unit F* up cos of the backlight not working?

ANyboyd?

Thanks.

Yeah, you have to go to the dealer.

If they don't replace it for you, I can sell you mine for dirt cheap. Practically brand new.

I have the same problem with the 2007 Camry. The radio light comes on occasionally but usually it is off. I have tried various lighting combinations, but it is usually off. On further testing it comes on in the daytime but not at night.
