(WT) Window Tint option for new 2010 & 2011 Camry

Hi everyone,

Do you know if the Window Tint (option code is WT) option on the new 2010 & 2011 Camry, is it a tint film they put on or is it some kind of process where the tint is inside the glass.

I have a 2004 4Runner. The rear and back glass have factory tint and it is not a film type tint.

Anyone know about the Camry Window Tint option ?

Chief, the tint option is a film. The dealer will tell you that there is a very slight tint in the glass already, but for the actual tint process, it is a film.

There is heat rejection and UV glazing in the glass that help block these rays. For additional light reduction and UV/IR rejection, tint films can be installed on rear windows. In some states front ones including windshield can't be tinted.

The truck should have window film. It's easy to prove.

Ask what film the dealer uses. probably some el cheapo stuff? Check your local 3M Scotchgard installer. Check our their Crystalline film. These have water marks for authenticity.
