Hey guys, I tried the search but I guess I'm searching the wrong thing...

I recently installed an amp and subs.. and while I was driving today, the CD began to skip and so I turned the factory radio off -- that was my reaction.

Then I went to go turn it back on, and then nothing... no sound.
AM/FM - no sound
CD - no sound
AUX - no sound

I don't know what to do!!! I'm so confused (and scared, I must add)

Please help!!!

Without any info as far as brand names, who and how it was wired or what your setup looks like.....there are a number of trouble shooting tips.

Try here for starters:

Since you said you had a factory head unit still, I would check your connections with your line out converter that was installed, then go from there.

You added all to the same fuse?
Start at the fuse.

The two little strands coming from the speaker cone were touching - was shorting out one speaker so I guess the car thought tho whole system would short so it cut sound to call speakers. Fixed!

Good job on troubleshooting. In the computer business, short circuits also happen to me sometimes and they're often responsible for the weirdest behavior of the system.

Audio is no different, eh?
