Hey guys, I dropped my car off at the alignment shop this morning and of course they wait all day to update me, when they do they say in order to do my alignment i need to buy rear Camber adjustment bolts because they can't be adjusted from factory and my rear camber is off.
they can get the bolts of course for 33 dollars each, and 40 each to install, bringing my alignment to $208 bucks..
I told them not to do it and i'll just pick the car up..
so $29.99 later (alignment check) i still need an alignment, is that normal for these cars?
i've had camber kits on some of my lowered cars before but have never had to buy aftermarket camber bolts for a factory car to be aligned..
just wondering if that sounds shady or if it's actually needed.. My alignment looks pretty bad here's the specs on my alignment sheet..
LF camber -1.2 degree's
caster 3.0
toe -0.10
RF camber -0.8
caster 2.6
toe -0.12
front total toe -0.22
LR camber -1.4
toe 0.18
RR camber -1.9
toe -0.01
total rear toe 0.17
thrust angle 0.09
i mean i can see on the sheet my rear camber and toe are pretty bad, just never had to buy aftermarket camber bolts for a car that 100% stock to get an alignment..
thanks for any input guys.. I kinda searched around, but didn't find anyone else buying aftermarket camber adjustment bolts unless they where talking about lowered cars.

no, like it says i told them not to do anything and i'll pick the car up..
i definetly wanted to do some research before i paid for some camber adjustment bolts..
thanks for the input though, so your pretty much confirming what i thought, that they are not needed and i need to go ahead to a different alignment shop lol...
i just ended up having to pay them 29.99 for a alignment check since they put my car on the rack to begin with, which sucks cause it's worthless to me, i mean it tells me my aligment specs now but i already knew i needed an alignment :<

yeah for stock camber, you DEFINITELY do not need camber bolts.
thanks, your right though i did get ripped a little i'm trying to figure out now why i just paid 29.99 for an alignment check.. think i'm gonna go back up there and complain tomorrow..
I dropped it off to have an alignment done, they called me said i needed those bs parts i told them not to do anything then, next thing you know i'm handed a printout of my alignment specs and paying 29.99 for a check..
I dont remember asking for a checkup, i already knew my alignment was bad thats why i took it there lol.. Should have thought about that one before handing over 30

My shop doesn't charge if the alignment is ok. And the most they have ever charged me to get it aligned was 60 bucks. But i been going there since i could drive. They did my whole suspension on my Z24.

So we do not need ANY parts at all to do alignment? My Gen 5 is pulling to the left pretty badly and I was told by 1 alignment shop that Camry do not support adjustment..
^ time to go a different shop then. Camry's support adjustment up to a certain amount... but if you need a severe adjustment, then yes you'll probably need camber bolts or something else is wrong with your suspension.

so your saying i might need the camber adjustment bolts, for my stock camry to get an alignment?
