Gen6 Our ECU is a smart bugger

so as some of you know i went to the track last week. well ive noticed now thats my car is a lot more alive then before.
it shifts faster and has increased throttle response. its even a bit touchy going in reverse, my wife found that out the hard way when she tried backing up slowly this weekend out of a spot but end up going faster then she intended...right into a brick wall lol. luckly the damnage isnt bad as she was still going very slow , just scatches along the whole rear bumper. luckly i have some autobody experience and ill fix it my self when the weather gets nicer out.

im still amazed at how bringing it to the track once completely changed the way the car now responds...basically it learned that i want to go fast lol. has any one else encounter this?

Well if you used S mode and drove with a heavy foot constantly, it works.

The ECU defaults to try to save fuel economy though, shifting early and often and providing gas gently.

no I can't, the V6 cost like $200-300 more a month than my I4.

hey what does spirited driving mean?

Kinda sucked that i had my snow tires on and no twisties around so i can show you what our car can really do. I love my 5 speed.

Please stay on topic and do not derail threads. This is about ECU not leases.

To the OP, we know the ECU learns as it has been discussed for at least 4 years in this forum..........
