2009 Camry XLE i4 rear wheel wells

odd, but the rear wheel wells have some kind of heavy-duty cloth instead of plastic. Is this supposed to be this way? The front has the plastic, but the rear has some kind of cloth/felt..odd.

it's normal. i wish the front was more clothy like. maybe would take more of the rubbing then.

Thanks for the confirmation. I just thought it was odd since every car I have ever owned had either metal or plastic.

Yes this is a very heavy felt like material.. that is very similer if not the same
stuff that they used to line your trunk/inside fenderwells with. They used this material in the wheel wells as sound deadining purposes.

back still needs to be more sound deadened though. still is pretty loud. the cloth also attracts lots of dirt and stuff.
