Alright i have a situation I need help with. I currently have an 09 Corolla and an 02 Jeep Liberty. Neither are big enough for my two car seats to fit in and still be comfortable for me and my wife up front. I was wondering if there is anyone here who has 2 car seats in their Camry. I have a toddler convertable seat and an infant carrier so they take up ALOT of space. How much room is left up front for you and the passenger? Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
yikes my gen3 camry wagon and coupe had great room for an infant carrier and my avalon(96) is even better for space. i would think the gen 5&6 should beable to do the same.
Before I bought my wife a Venza, she drove my car.
My toddler son had his seat fastened, (fwd facing 5 point harness), directly in the middle bench seat. Whenever my wife babysat a friends baby, she would put the other baby's seat (bucket seat) directly behind the passenger seat.
I have been in the car (as the front seat passenger) with the setup like this at least 5 times, and all I can remember is how much leg room I had. AND I am 6 ft tall...
Hope this helps.
ALSO, the best thing to do is to go to the dealership with you car seats and test fit them and to see for yourself how much leg room you are working with. Any dealer will allow you to do so.

I would say there is pleanty of room unless eathier you or your wife like riding with your seats all the way back. All i would say is if you dont like foot prints on the back of your seats then a camry is to small other then that their is pleanty of room, even for my 3 year old to fit in her car seat
Well I am only 5'9 and my wife is 5'0 so we can easily move the seats forward some. I know the Camry is bigger than me Rolla but i just dont know by how much. I guess i will just go to a dealer and put the carseats in a see for myself..thanks everyone
I run 2 car seat in my 2010 camry, one for my 1 1/2 year old and one for my 3 ... I'm about 5'10 and I got plenty of room for a family car, I'm use to a kingcab truck but you can't expect that mich room in a car, whole different category

Have a 2010 and a 2007, 5'11" and wife 5'5", plenty of room for us, one in a booster seat, the other in a forward facing 3 point seat (3 year old). Camry is one of the largest mid-size sedans in the rear seat.
you would be fine with the camry. im the same height as you but my wife is 5'8 and we both have enough room even with the backwards facing infant seat... though i do suggest you put that one behind your wife as it does take up more room

I have an '08 LE, and I can say from experience that you should have no problems getting in a convertible seat w/base (rear-facing) in the left rear area, and a five-point behind the driver, with another youngster in the middle seat. You could probably even switch the outboard five-point and the middle seat riding child but it would be a little tight. We tested this very configuration out before buying my car, as that was one of the drawbacks to my previous grinder (a third gen Camry) and other cars. For example, the Accord didn't seem to have as much rear room, although I think it's rated larger inside. We don't have a child in a rear-facing seat any longer, but wanted to test it out just in case. Usually I'm the lone person in the car for my commute, but drive my older sons around for baseball and other activities on the weekend - one is big enough to be out of a booster seat, and the other is still in a booster for a couple more birthdays. For what it's worth, I'm 6'1" and my wife is 5'7" and we both have a lot of room in the front with the kids in there. Usually when we have all three kids, we take the minivan, but we can re-configure the rear for a five point harness seat, a booster seat and the belted oldest in the middle without complaints. Well, except that there's no tv...
i put my 9 month old daughters rear facing right behind me so that her mom can see her from the pass seat. I'm 5-10 and keep the seat pretty far back and have never had a problem. I'm sure you'll be fine in a Camry.
