I agree. Warped rotor or unbalanced wheel. And the dealer should have to take care of it.

If the steering wheel shakes only when braking, it is a warped rotor. And yes, the dealer should take care of it at no cost. It is a Toyota certified used car. You pay a bit extra for a certified used Toyota. I would insist on new rotors and pads; something they probably should have done in the first place when they certified this car. It is my understanding that they are to repalce the pads on a certified used car if there is 50% or less pad thickness remaining. Anyway, insist on new pads and rotors when you bring it back in. If they say they can't do that, give Toyota corporate customer service a call at 1-800-331-4331 and discuss the issue with them. If the dealer refuses your request for new pads and rotors you might even mention it to the dealer that you feel this is what will satisfy you and you will be calling Toyota corproate to discuss the issue with them. That's something most dealerships don't want customer's to do, so it might change their minds.
they should give u new pads and rotors. a rule of thumb where my dad works is that if ur changing pads and rotors need a change/resurfacing then just change them right away. not worth resurfacing.

what about noise from the rotor? I had a warped rotor before and I could hear the squeaking sound but my steering wheel barely shook

Most times a warped rotor will not cause any sound, except other parts of the car rattling from the vibration produced when the pad and warped rotor are in contact with each other. That is usually not a squeaking sound. A squeaking sound could occur if a brake pad is loose and vibrating inside the caliper. Then you may hear a high pitched squeak without the brakes applied, that goes away as the brakes are applied and the pads are forced against the rotor. That is a different situation. Could that be what you are referring to?
well they fixed it for free cause we got the car 2 weeks ago so happy didnt have to pay anything oh they just resurfaced the rotors but it took 3 hours but its worth it thanks for all the inputs guys
My '07 had the same problem. Longo Toyota took care of it under warranty (Toyota released newer pads and shims because of the issue) and checked to make sure my rear pads were the updated ones (the original 2006-and-a-half model year Gen 6's had rear pads/rotors killed at ~12K miles). They had to resurface the front rotors as well. They also did my 4 recalls at the time
