Hello all - I was just wondering what type of mileage you were getting with the factory Michelins. I have never exceeded 5200 miles on a rotation. I currently have 26k on the Camry and I have roughly 6/32nds left. I understand that the tire is a 440/a/a but I expected a little longer. This is my wifes car and she drives very conservatively. Just curious. Thanks

Normal replacement for these tires are anywhere between 30-40k miles at our dealership. They are the longest lasting OEM tires for the Camry. Switch to the Primacy at replacement time for a longer lasting tire with better grip.

Those tires don't have mileage warranty for whatever reason.
I swapped mine out when they were just above the wear bars at and I had 27500 miles or so on them. I generally change out my tires before they get to the wear bars since they start to make driving in the rain quite an adventure.
We had those tires on our honda when we bought it new in 2000. Got rid of them in less than 5k miles. We found them to be unsafe - they hydroplaned all the time and slid when trying to stop. My wife was scared to drive the car so I got rid of them and replaced them with yokohamas. Far better tire. Now we have a 2010 venza - 1 week old - and the goodyears ride very hard. Wife isn't remotely interested in getting rid of new tires again...
Thanks for your info. I really like the tires. They handle well and have good traction in the wet and the dry. Brand new they had 10/32 and I guess the last time I rotated tires, it just seemed like they had little left on them. I have LTXs on my tacoma and they have nearly 60k but they started out with a lot more rubber. I like the Primacy Michelins. Have you guys ever run them and if so, do you have better wear than the MXV4s? thanks again

I understand that the original MXV-4s that come on the Toyota Camry are the S8 type - which don't have any mileage guarantee. But... a number of folks are still getting pretty good mileage out of these tires. I have the MXV-4 S8 tires on my '09 Camry and really like the ride.
the current version of Mich Primacy's have a slightly less tread life than the previous model. I know since my camry has 3 different models of the same tire on it...thanks honey
Curently have Michelin Primacy MXV4's.Replaced the original Michelins that came with the car (i forgot what kind it was)at 33,753 miles. As of right now, mileage on the car is currently 62,306 miles. Both 8/32 front and both 9/32 rear.So that's about 28,553 miles on the Primacy MXV4's.Maybe another year with these tires?
i think that is what my trd's had on them when i bought the car, i put 36k on them and all tires were at the wear bars.
