gen 6.5 dome light

is there a way to remove the dome light? i was trying to install the led dome light but i happen to push it in too hard and now the switch from on-off-door is pushed up too high and i cannot get access to it unless i take the frame apart. anyone know how to do this? thanks

Take off the two rectangle covers that are at each end of the light. They will reveal two tabs that you can push inwards ( looks like a piece where you take a flat screwdriver and move it aside ), with a slight pull, that will take off the housing from the roof liner. Then you have access to the switch part. just line up and push in and it will snap back into place. Same thing happened to me, had to learn the hard way. Good Luck!

Yea I did that pushing the two tabs in but it seems that something else is still holding the plastic frame in place (the two tabs are on diagonal corners but the other two corners won't release). Is there some kind of trick to it?

Try pulling down while moving it left to right. There are two hooks by the tabs also holding it onto the liner. The side to side motion worked for me.
