USA Options???

Hi Everyone,

new to this forum and have a few questions.

Credit gods willing, my wife and I will be getting a 2011 Camry each this weekend.

Hers will be a I4 AT LE white, mine a I4 LE or SE red or blue (I know ... I can't make up my mind ).

Either way, what are some good options to get? What are some options I really don't need? What are some options I should go after-market?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hans

Option 1 - V6

You don't need the nav system waste of money...just get a portable system.

Moonroof is nice to have. basically options are up to you, personal preference and what you can afford.

I'm already in pain when I have someone sitting next to me in the V6.

If he do mostly city driving the V6 will be useless... and all those speeding camera popping up everywhere in the city so flexing that V6 power will cost you more than U can scream.

I did enjoy the V6 (punch it to merge onto the highway) and the JBL sound system (stuck in traffic).

1 vote for Red.

V6. Aftermarket nav. JBL sound is nice. I don't like the moonroof because i'm 6'2"... and I think all SEs come with it standard. Also, the SE doesn't have rear folding seats, IIRC. And that's about it.

Hi V-6, Cruise control, Higher grade sound system. Trip computer if it is available.

Sunroofs/moonroofs are more problems than their worth, IMO

i keep mine vented 98% of the time.

But if it is hot and don't feel like having my windows open (i hate AC) i open the sunroof and it helps.

WOW, I appreciate the plentyful and good replies!

As to sun/monn roof, I have one in my current car but hardly ever use it. Not to mention that I had some problems with leaking.

I4 vs V6, while I do appreciate the smoothness of a V6, I do like the mpg's of the I4. I did drive an I4 last weekend and was pleasently surprised how quiet and also how well it held up in comparison with my current car (domestic V6). Also, since we are planning on getting two that would add about $5,500 to the total bill.

No need for the overpriced nav sys (seems like all of them are that way), I do have a decent garmin already.

Good point about the folding rear seats which is something I use fairly often.

Yeah, the red sounds better and better.

How about the rear bumper protection? Worth getting or just use care and a good wax?

What about the paint sealer (vehicle shield package)? I usually think a good wax is a good investment (turtle wax ICE worked well in the past).
