Car vibration at idle while applying the brakes

Hello all,

Our '09 Camry SE with 30k miles, that we got a few days ago, vibrates when stopping at a red light. The idler is at about .7/.8. In other words, when stopped, car is on D, and I am applying the brakes, I feel vibration under my feet. It feels as if the car is going to shut off but it doesn't.

This can't be normal, can it?

Thanks,
M.

check your motor mounts. the easiest one is the dogbone mount located on the left side of the engine(when looking into the engine bay). Also, is your A/C running? If so, the fans are running and will create a bigger load on your engine, possibly causing the extra vibration.

Thanks Mrso0h0o. I'll check under the hood as soon as the rain stops in Boston area.
