5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm about to buy an '07 Camry, simply because it's the first year of the sixth generation which I absolutely love. Obviously I'll purchase an 08' or later for the right price, but that's beside the point.
Currently, I can't fathom the switch to a 4 cylinder (I currently drive '99 Camry le v6), while it seems like shit, very nice car for me.
So the one MUST I'm looking for is a v6.
Anyway, my price range is about $14,000 when all is said and done. I want some cheaper alternatives to modding it as much as possible. So I'm looking for suggestions on cheaper (but nice):
Rims,
Tail/Head light advice... I've seen a lot of "smoked" and "led" pictures of your guys cars and have liked them very much.
Body kits, (might not be able to afford the SE version)
Exhaust upgrades (make my car sound nastttyy)
Tints
etc. anything else you guys can think of
If you have the time for this and some suggestions, that'd be great, again, my whole price range is about $14k max for the car and these mods so, obviously it depends on how much I spend on my car, but you get the idea.. thanks.
Wouldnt it be best by starting off with getting the car first? From here, you can figure out what funds you have left over and what you can get and what is your priority.
Talking about mods that you might not even be able to afford within your budget is a moot point. Only you can decide what has priority over the others.

You can get an '09 LE V6 for $15,000 or so, probably. That's probably how much my car is worth right now I think lol.
Buy the most car you can afford, WITHOUT modifications. Forget those mods. Those that work are designed for young lads with more money than good sense, and they do them to cars they own, not to cars that the bank owns. Find a car with low mileage that has been cared for and buy it. Be happy. If you want to buy a ricey vehicle, start with a Honda Civic and go to town with bolt-on parts that don't fit right and are painted a different shade. PLEASE, do nothing to embarrass yourself, like sticking Buick portholes on the fenders.
