im getting ready to replace all 4 speakers and my radio. finally got the money to do it all at once. . i was looking for some 6x9s for the rears and came across these. the customer reviews are some of the best for any 6x9 they have and a fair price, what do you think?
Why pay that much for some 6x9s? (I'm assuming your on a stock factory system.) There's no need to buy something that expensive when something in the sub $50 range will be fine.

What are you talking about?! Sub $50 range?! Do they even make 6x9 speakers that are under $100?!
You must spend a minimum of $150 if you want decent sound.

i have those same 6x9s in my 09 camry in the back. i paid like 100 i think off of ebay new. ebay is the way to go. you also will need speaker adapters, i got those off ebay too. i got 6.5 DLS components in the front though running off a kicker zx250.2 amp. the 6x9s i just power them by the HU because the front is more important, also because i have a sub.
yep i found you a pair for 95 shipped on ebay. the same ones too. lol

i will bet you otherwise...
but back on topic. for low power or stock power, i like infinity reference line.. these have better midrange response than the more expensive kappa line.
only thing i like from alpine's lineup is their spx pro line
i just have an hour ride to work every day, 50 miles each way. the speakers are shot so i just want to do the whole car is one shot, wires if needed , HU (dvd\gps) amp and speakers, whatever. i have 2 8 in kickers in a box with an amp.

You will have to amp them, BUT....they sound amazing. That is what I have for front doors and rear deck. You will not be disappointed. Trust me.
you have 6.5's in the front and rear? i thought 6x9's were the way to go in the rear and those in the doors. i read some people put 6x9s in the front doors???

Yes sir, I do indeed have 6.5's for the doors and the rear deck.
Regular 6x9's will not fit the rear deck. If you choose any 6x9's for the rear, it will have to be a 'critical mass' 6x9 speaker because of the magnet. It will get in the way of the trunk lid arm and hinder the trunk lid operation.
With the 6x5's, I still have plenty of room for the speaker magnet to not interfere with the trunk arm.
And when you amplify them, they sound that much sweeter.
EDIT: I just saw that you have an 02'.....I don't know about the magnet actually interfering with your models trunk arm.

The covers look very flimsy. Half of the speaker is exposed, something could fall and puncture the speaker. Get a full cover to protect speaker 100%.
The speaker isnt going to be exposed. It will be covered by the factory speaker covers in the door and the rear deck. No need to worry about puncturing the speaker cone.

Nice!
When I installed my rear speakers, I had to make my own brackets b/c nobody made them for us yet....lol. That's why I just stuck with Polk's punchy 6.5's.

Component speakers are the best way to go for good sound, and those with the tweeter on top are not as good as the one with it separate. And to match I also changed out the receiver, I didn't want a lot of work so I got one with a little small build in amplifier.

I was also interested in the Infinity lines.
