2007 Camry Japan Make - Remote Programming issues

Hello - I am having issues with adding a 3rd remote to a 2007 Camry (Made in Japan VIN starting with JTN..) The remote is 4 button HYQ12BBY, IC 1551A-12BBY (12BBY Denso). I tried the following steps from a posting here

open Driver door
within 5 sec Insert and Remove Key twice
open and close door twice < 40s
Insert and remove key once
open and close door twice and close door
insert key

STEP turn ON for 1s and then back to LOCK

STEP 1 time for ADD
STEP 2 times for REWRITE
STEP 3 times for CONFIRMATION and
STEP 5 times for PROHIBIT

The door lock should cycle if programming mode is entered.

However, the door lock does not cycle at all.
Previous owner had installed LoJack on this car and is still there with the FOBs for LoJack.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks TN!

The key can not be programmed by you. You need the dealer to do the job. The immobilizer must be programmed into the computer at the dealer.

first of all he wanted the remote programmed. second the immobilizer is an ecu in the car and the only thing that needs to be programmed to the immobilizer is the transponder code in the key. third the remote can be programmed through the body ecu in techstream. the door and key trick does not always work, especially if lowjack is wired to the doors and what not.

07 Camry Remote Programming issue

Thank you for all those responded. However, I am confused since there is a posting saying that Remote with Transponder chip could be programmed for Camry 07 in this forum. LoJack according to the previous owner is a becon device that responds only when activated by police when needed.
Again I don't have any further knowledge of how LoJack works. Getting rid of LoJack is a tough nut to crack. Otherwise I'll have to spend 100.00 to uninstall from the car through LoJack.

Thanks and hope that there is a Toyota Expert out there who would comment on this issue.

Cheers!

I don't see how having LoJack would interfere with the programming of your key - if in fact you can do that yourself. I've read in several places that this needs to be done by the dealer with a scanning tool.

LoJack is a passive device - only activated by the police. Or... if you have Early Warning (extra fob on keychain), and the car moves without the keys, the device will contact LoJack - who then will call you.

Also, LoJack usually wires the unit to the driver's power seat (always powered) - as it's close to where they like to hide it.
