Gen5 Stock JBL vs aftermarket speakers

What do you guys think? Will aftermarket speakers be better than JBL that comes on Gen 5. Usually answer to stock vs aftermarket is always aftermarket. But in our case JBL is supposed to be upgraded vs non-JBL speakers..

i'll put my 2 cents in..i've had the jbl speakers since late 2001, and always had people ask if i had a sub in my car...when i put an aftermarket headunit in, the sound quality nearly doubled..most people think i'm running subs anyway, even though its just stock, nearly blown speakers.

The best sub you'll ever need is an Exhaust.

Changing out the speakers could be a potentially bad thing because the JBL speakers are 2 ohms. Most car speakers you find for sale are 4 ohms.

Coming from the TC, with of course all aftermarket audio, the JBL does not satisfy me. Mines a Gen 6.5 so I dont know about the gen 5 but I was wondering about changing the head unit and adding a amp maybe then some new speakers.

I had a custom system in my last car....('93 Z24 convertible, 600Watt custom) And the JBL is awesome compared to the system i had...but then again i hated the 2 12's in the trunk lol (car came with the system when i bought it)...but yea...the JBL is very nice and does what i need it to and more.
