Removing head unit on Australian gen 5

I've just swapped the deck in my Australian gen 5 (ACV36/ MCV36) and discovered the procedure in the US pdf factory manual is completely different and does not apply to the dash in our cars.

To access the head unit simply pop out the air con vent/ radio surround assembly, leaving the a/c units in place. (If you have manual a/c like I do, you'll find the a/c unit just won't budge due to the mechanical cables.) The head unit is then bolted to the dashboard frame.



This is what went in it's place. 6 cd, mp3 and bluetooth from an 09 Hilux.
