Talking Single disc to a 6 disc??

I have an 09 Camry LE with a single disc player, I believe the number on the face plate# is 11832. Will the Factory 6 disc player just plug and play where the single disc player was? If it does I guess I need to start looking . Is there more than one kind of stereo that came in the 09 Camry LE. Is there a way to tell what kind I have without taking the unit? Thanks for any info.

the jbl 6 disc system is amplified, the single disc unit isn't. So you would need The head unit, amp, re wire EVERYTHING, and 8 new speakers, and all the wiring harnesses are completely different. Your better off going after market, its just not worth all the trouble

Wtf you on about man? The basic head unit in the gen 5 is stock standard Toyota (probably Fujitsu Ten). The JBL or whatever it is might not go straight in, but there are other Fujitsu Ten 6 cd changers that will. I've just put a Toyota 6 cd changer with mp3 and bluetooth in mine out of an 2009 Hilux, that I scored off a mate. It's teh shiznit

If you can get your hands on one of these, or the latest version with the 4.3" colour screen you'll be laughing. That's an Australian market deck (which aside from AM radio, should work fine) but I'd image there's North American market equivalents out there.

The original poster is asking about an '09 Camry, a GEN6, not a GEN5. The base head unit in the GEN6 is Fujitsu Ten, but there are no 6-disc changers in the "base" line. The 6-disc units are JBL, with different wiring.

Ah ffs I should have spotted that. Pwnt!

Electrically speaking one of those Toyota decks would work, you would just have to adapt a fascia kit (the Toyota decks are 2 DIN but with a wider front cutout).
