5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Well I think i've decided to just bite the bullet and get those G35's powdercoated. Finally found a place that is reasonable and a buddy is lending me either his Dodge Ram or his Mustang GT to drive in the meanwhile.
So, here is what I need. Do you guys think I should go with Wet Black powder, or Orange Powder? I love orange and have looked at a few white cars with orange wheels. What do you guys think? Hot or not?
They'd be on my 2010 Camry SE. Feel free to PS it and throw the pics up here.
Example: (Kenny ought to like the Domo and its like his bro's old ride)
I dont care if it looks funny. It'll only be for a few weeks at most. But I need to get the wheels done first. Then the drop can come. Need to figure out color right now.
Also considering Black wheels with an orange painted brake caliper as an option but can't figure out how to modify the poll.
i'd say go with the orange, that evo looks sick! Or you could alway do takata green, another perfect match on a white car.
ps I looked around the net last night and found a few ebay listings selling singles, you should check it out, hope it helps, and goodluck with the color choice! It's gonna be ballin'!
Just know...painting your rims a total out of the ordinary color will be harder to sell as majority of people want a clean looking wheel. Not something that stands out. It may look nice but I would like to think of what if i found another set of wheels I like and want to get rid of the G35's. How hard would it be if it was orange?
i think you shouldnt do it. because its too much for your car right now. if u drop it and have more stuff done to it and want to make it unique then thats cool. but the G35 wheels is more like a clean looking wheels as you saw it on my car be4. if u want to do something stand out then you should be ready to make the car match up with the wheels.
like that Evo is all wild out for track. dont do it. i want to get a set and make it bright color(purple, Turquoise,....) but my car is not up to the standard of that, plus you dont want to make yur car look funny. dont take my words hard ok this is just my option, take it or not is up to you. At the end what make like you is all it matters Goodluck bro. btw r u going to the East Coast meet?
Couldnt have said it better myself kenny! Took the words right outta my keyboard
On an evo, that looks sick. On a camry however, not so. Unique yes, but camrys arnt the tuner typa ride. If anything, IMO, camrys are a good non traditional VIP platform. Nice and clean and the appropriate exterior and interior mods its actually one sweet ride

I would either stay with what you have or go black inner and leave the lip the way it is. Orange looks to much like Halloween on a white car. IMHO. Something like this

Its not the car but its is whats on the car. The EVO has stickers, colors and white and black. OPs car is only white. No other color to it on the exterior. Had OP had black roof, black hood, black trunk, decals with color, than yes.
Its kind of like wearing a suit or dress shirt with a tie. You're not going to wear a bright colored tie with different colors on a shirt that isnt even close to the shirt or design.
